Job Description:

We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Occupational Therapist to join a special needs school in Surrey. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in helping students with special needs achieve their fullest potential by promoting their independence and enhancing their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments of students with special needs to identify their unique challenges and develop personalised treatment plans.

• Provide therapeutic interventions, sensory integration techniques, and adaptive equipment to improve students' functional abilities.

• Collaborate closely with the school's multi-disciplinary team, including teachers, speech therapists, and behavioural specialists, to ensure the holistic well-being of students.

• Offer guidance and support to students, as well as educate parents and caregivers on strategies for continued progress.

• Maintain detailed records and generate comprehensive reports to track students' progress and ensure effective communication with the school's team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.

• Full registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

• Previous experience working with children with special needs is highly desirable.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and empathetic approach.

• Ability to adapt and customise therapy plans to suit each student's specific needs.
